Al Mitchell & The New Born Sinners begun with Al writing songs in his bedroom and experimenting with new sounds. Tired of playing and recording with conventional instruments, Al put together and released the album ‘Happier Times’ in January 2017, blending heavy industrial bass lines with screechy synth tones to create songs of heartbreak and hopelessness. Since then Al has recruited new friends and old to form New Born Sinners for live shows. Having received glowing responses to their blend of alternative rock and colourful electronic blemishes, the band decided to record 2 songs ‘Save & Destroy’ and ‘Done Dying’. Combining elements of the harsh honesty of a home recording with a slick and shiny polish of working in a luscious studio, the outcome is the perfect balance between a loud rock band and a more angular electronic sound with a certain maturity in the lyric.
