EYB is searching for young dancers to perform corps de ballet and soloist roles in Coppélia that will be presented at the White Rock Theatre from 17th-18th May 2019.

The company is keen to offer opportunities to dancers of all experience levels and is especially keen to recruit many male dancers for the roles in the ballet.
Auditions on Monday 4 February at the White Rock Theatre, Sea Front, Hastings, TN34 1JX.

4.30pm – 6.15pm audition for younger dancers (aged 8 ¬- 11).
6.45pm – 8.30pm audition for older dancers (aged 12 ¬- 18).

N.B. Any 11 yr old dancer who is studying above grade 4 level would be welcome to the senior audition and any 12yr old dancer studying below grade 5 level would be welcome to join the junior audition.

Rehearsals for the ballet will take place on Mon 15 – Thurs 18 April, Fri 26 – Sun 28 April and Fri 10 – Sun 12 May. Weekday rehearsals during term time take place after school and Saturday rehearsals take place from 2.00pm to avoid disruption to normal dance classes.

There is an £18.00 audition fee and a performance course fee for those who take part. Scholarships are available. Parents and teachers are invited to watch the auditions from the auditorium at the theatre.
