A roar-some free event is taking place here at Priory Meadow Shopping Centre this July.

Friday, July 26th sees the opening of the giant sand beach in Queens Square for the summer holidays.

Attending the launch event are some amazing animatronic animals, including a life-size lion, a giant gorilla and some mischievous baby apes.

Between 11am and 3pm you can come along and get up close and personal to these realistic animals, taking a selfie with a striking lion, stroking the baby apes and saying hello to a giant gorilla.

Can’t make the July 26th date? Don’t worry, the lion and baby apes will be returning a month later, on bank holiday Monday, August 26th. This time they will bringing their friend the cheeky orangutan.

There will also be FREE face painting at the event between 11am and 1pm.

Kids can GO WILD! every day this summer at the giant jungle themed sand beach, playing and making sandcastles, whilst you relax after some retail therapy on the new and improved larger decking area.
