We recently ran a community course in partnership with SCDA at @WillingdonTreesCommunity called ‘Let’s Grow’. Our tutor Danny Manning, taught the learners about seasonal planting, preparing soil and making a bamboo plant support (pictured).
They grew plants from seed and are growing them on to plant later in the year. The food that is grown will be shared out with the community with some going to the Community Fridge which is an initiative aimed at reducing food waste.
The learners really enjoyed the course and the feedback was very positive.
