From today (11 January) if you have no symptoms but test positive for COVID-19 on a lateral flow test, you do not have to book a PCR test.
You should report your test result at www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result and self-isolate.
If you want to claim the self-isolation payment you will need to book a PCR test.
