Sign-up to ShopWatch and BarWatch

Both the ShopWatch and BarWatch schemes are under review at the moment and the team at Love Hastings are working to ensure everyone who is already a member has full access to the offenders intelligence database (DISC).

You can check if your business is signed up to the agreement on the Hastings Business Crime Reduction Partnership website at www.bcrphastings.com – and if you are listed you should have a password to access the secure members only area.

If you don’t have a password yet please contact office@bcrphastings.com and you will be sent the relevant information. We’ll then arrange for a visit to your proemises so you can be shown how the system works.

We’re keen to expand membership to as many businesses as possible in the BID area as the scheme is most effective if everyone is connected and sharing information on known local offenders. you can find more info about benefits and how to join at the website link above.

The police are also keen to see the partnership grow and are looking to build more comprehensive case files on the most prolific shoplifters and troublemakers so that they can seek criminal behaviour orders through the courts.
